Trois musiciens, trois instruments, un public. Chaque individu est un esprit en conversation avec d'autres esprits, ceux qui jouent et ceux qui écoutent. Chaque esprit vit dans un espace multidimensionnel, traitant une succession de sons dans le temps. Le temps s'écoule tandis que le piano, la batterie et le saxophone soprano communiquent entre eux ; tandis que chaque esprit oscille entre l'anticipation de l'imminent et la confirmation de ce qui s'est déjà produit, un exercice de concentration et d'abstraction. WRY entame une conversation à trois, invitant chaque auditeur à devenir la quatrième partie, à la fois témoin et complice de cet exercice difficile. Et tout comme le cerveau se développe et évolue avec le changement, les musiciens s'efforcent d'offrir le changement nécessaire à la survie : un changement de rythme, un changement de ton, un changement de hauteur, un changement de volume, un changement d'état d'esprit...

WRY trio CD
Three musicians, three instruments, one audience. Each individual, a mind in conversation with other minds, those playing and also those listening. Each mind living in a multi-dimensional space, processing a succession of sounds in time. Time flowing while the piano, the drums and the soprano sax communicate with each other; while every mind oscillates between anticipation of the imminent and confirmation of that which has already transpired, an exercise in concentration and abstraction. WRY kicks off a three-way conversation inviting each listener as fourth party to both bear witness to and become complicit in this difficult exercise. And just like the brain thrives and evolves with change, the musicians exert themselves to offer the change required for survival: a change of pace, a change of tone, a change of pitch, a change of volume, a change of heart…
