L‘édition Chien coupé a été produite à l’occasion de l’exposition Aquarelles de Briac Leprêtre du 22 avril au 16 mai 2004 à Lendroit éditions.
"Briac Leprêtre a investi la galerie avec des aquarelles à la touche réaliste qu’il réalise à partir de photographies, et du mobilier, à taille réelle et à l’aspect massif, mais qui en réalité est fabriqué à partir d’un matériau isolant rigide mais très léger, peint en blanc. L’artiste fait cohabiter ces différents éléments comme imitant un intérieur sans en être véritablement un. Ses aquarelles représentent tant des portraits d’inconnus, des détails de villes, des célébrités de notre époque, des intérieurs - souvent kitsch – que des animaux, et notamment ce chien à la tête oblitérée choisi par l’artiste pour l’affiche."

Chien coupé was produced on the occasion of Briac Leprêtre's exhibition Aquarelles, organised from April 22nd to May 16th, 2004 at Lendroit éditions.
“Briac Leprêtre invested the gallery with his watercolours with a realistic touch from photographs, and furniture, life-size and massif, but that are actually made from a rigid insulating material but very light, paint in white. The artist makes these different elements cohabit as imitating an interior without really being one. His watercolours are both unknown portraits, details of cities, celebrities of our time, interiors -often kitschy- and animals, including the dog with the obliterated head chosen by the artist for the poster”.
