The silkscreen Bleue saignante was produced on the occasion of the exhibition Contexeré from January 14th to February 8th at Lendroit.
Bleue saignante is the culmination of the eponymous piece presented at the exhibition. Small signs "medium rare" or "rare" stitched into the meat at the restaurant caught his eye and decided to take the expressions and create a feminine version of them.
On blue balls, he printed in white each letter of the word "blue". On the red balls, he proceeded the same way with "rare". He pierced the balls then hung them by colour on a wire in the manner of an abacus forming two lines. The visitors could move the balls. From this set of words, Christophe Robin composed an important number of anagrams, that exist or not, and then he made up the abacus. Then, each anagram formed lines of different blue and red balls. He faithfully reproduced the blue and red dots one after the other and obtained a coded and rhythmic score. The final result of this work is materialised in a silkscreen representing anagrams combinations still held secret by the artist."
