THE ARTISTS' STICKER COLLECTIONThe sticker is not an ordinary object. Ever since it appeared in the 1960s, it conveys a message, political as well as commercial. It is also a way of re-adapting the public and private space. The artists' Sticker collection borrows the LP record format. The serigraphic sticker is inserted into a record sleeve, along with an inset bearing the edition numbering and the artist's signature. We asked Claude Closky, Françoise Pétrovitch, and Christian Robert-Tissot to inaugurate the first artists' Stickers collection, each of their approaches leading to new reflections on this medium. Our intention is to make formally defined supports available to renowned artists, supports they can fully enjoy. Each artist's work is an original creation, elaborated and conceived solely for our edition. By using a book or a sticker as an artistic medium, Lendroit éditions also wants artists to react to the problem of the reproducibility of printed art: making an edition both an original work and printing it in great number.LENDROIT collections will thus be a support for research and creation, destined to be widely distributed and affordable.
